Who We Are (2012) was a series of oil paintings produced in response to Laura moving to Birmingham, a multi-cultural city that she wasn't use to. The paintings she produced were images to show that we are all made up of each other; the kindness and attitudes people show, have an impact on how we behave and act from then on. The relationships we build with people, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation has an effect on how we treat those around us. Laura's purpose of the images was to portray that everyone is the same regardless of what they look like, what really matters is how you treat others around you.
